Rennsport Systems is pleased to offer Schroth Harnesses and our custom RS racing seats

These are the top-of-the-line Street & Racing Harnesses affordable to everyone.

Schroth Harnesses are the very best racing and street-type restraint systems that are available. Made in Germany, the competition harnesses are FIA/ SFI approved and used by Porsche, BMW, McLaren-Mercedes F1, Jordan GP and other professional racing teams that require excellence in safety and quality.

With competitive pricing structures from Schroth, there is no reason not to use the finest in Racing Restraint Systems and ASM® Street HarnessBelts.

ASM®: Anti-SubMarining is an acronym for the patented Schroth safety energy conversion innovation that is installed on one side of every Schroth shoulder harness that prevents you from slipping UNDER the harnesses in a frontal impact.

Schroth uses specially designed webbing for the following reasons:
1) To minimize the forces during the rebound phase of the accident.
2) Polyamide does not have the "rubber band" effect, that is a
characteristic of many other webbing's.
3) Carefully calculated elongation rates are used to control the
deceleration and minimize stress to the body.
4) A high transversal stiffness for the best load spreading
characteristics.

The upper body is protected by padding that is permanently sewn
onto the belt behind the length adjusters. In order to minimize
injury to the chest, a special "load spreading" foam is used to
evenly distribute the deceleration loads.
A loose belt results in increased neck stress and excessive
lumbar compression loads. SCHROTH has added grips at the ends
of the belts to aid the wearer in achieving the tightest possible
adjustment.

Schroth also manufactures an excellent line of DOT-approved Street-legal Harnesses for drivers unhappy with the OEM inertia-type seat belts.

Schroth manufactures the Rallye-3 and Rallye-4 Harnessbelts for street cars that feature the ASM® patented shoulder belts that are easy to live with everyday. For seats with a moveable headrest, these street-legal harness have a unique attachment buckle that allows full access to the rear seats without compromising the 3 and 4 pt attachment system. These belts can attach to the rear seat belt mounting points or the C-pillar, depending upon model.

Schroth also offers the state-of-the-art Autocontrol Harnessbelts which include inertia reels that has a special electro-sensor that constantly monitors abnormal movement and force inside the car while in motion. If the electro-sensor detects rapid acceleration or deceleration, a high G-turn, quick side movement, or inclines over 25 degrees, it will INSTANTLY lock the inertia reel and secure the occupants in their Theseseats.

All Schroth competition belts meet SFI 16.1 and FIA 5 yr
requirements.

Racing Harness Mounting Instructions

Schroth & the FIA recommend that lap belts are routed at a 60 deg (plus or minus 10 degrees) down from horizontal for production-based cars.

Shoulder strap routing behind the driver's shoulders should be horizontal. For applications without HANS, a downward rounting up to 20 deg is acceptable. Strap length behind the seat back should not exceed 29.5". For HANS applications, the anchorages must be raised by the thickness of HANS at the shoulder points. Strap routing must be horizontal. Strap lengths should not exceed 7.8".

Sub strap anchor locations should situate the strap(s) so it has no more than a 20 degree angle from vertical as it leaves the seat. Never run the strap backwards! Its only function is to hold the lap belt in place to avoid submarining and to keep the lap belts across your pelvis.

Dual sub straps (6pt) installations should maintain a 4" separation in anchor point spacing

Rennsport Systems racing seats not only meet, but exceed standards for FISA / FIA / IMSA / SCCA / SCORE / NHRA sanctioning bodies. These custom racing seats are available in 3 different widths for the maximum comfort and support for all sizes of drivers. Finally, you can get a world-class seat with no compromises. These seats feature molded-in metal inserts for the mounting brackets and a seat back brace so no drilling is necessary. The sides are edged in black suede leather in the areas of maximum wear. These are supplied with a pair of L-shaped mounting brackets that can bolted to your sliders or simply attached directly to the floor rails.

Fiberglass seats weigh 12.5 lbs without the aluminum brackets and Carbon Fibre seats weigh 7.5 lbs without brackets.
