thanks I understand about the crank not being fully counter weighted, crank is being redone, had 1 rod journal under spec. the one that the piston failed on that is being brought back to std. Alan Faraghala at Aase motors recommended a clearance grind, instead of cross drill and or groove to keep oil around the bearings, not sure what you mean about center bearing mod have not heard about that one, wish I could have used a GT3 crank one was avail. for $2500 but with everything else out of my budget range. Not that redoing my crank is cheap but $945. shop price. The motor was raced in Arizona with NASA
and here with PCA for the most part everything came out looking good no main bearing excessive wear or leaking fr. & rear seals, going 3.8 though so want to do it right. Bob
