It sounds like the bearings on the heater blower motor are on their way out ... it looks like my options are a) pick up a used assembly b) just replace the motor and c) remove and replace with a blower bypass tube.
c) Research seems to indicate there is little loss of heat with the bypass tube. Are there any other consequences I should consider?
b) I replaced blower motors in my 85 911 when they went out without to much struggle so I assume it is doable for a 993 also ... anyone try this?
a) I found a used blower assembly also off a 95 but have not pulled the trigger yet ... is this just postponing the inevitable?
Any suggestions for the way to go? I live in Colorado so I need the heat from time to time.
Thanks in advance ...
