Question 1:
Does anyone know what this very small diameter vacuum line is coming out of the wiring harness by drivers side firewall?
My 1995 car has the secondary air injection system removed as well as the heating blower, which I suspect it goes to and is
no longer needed? See picture.

Question 2:
Are fatigue cracks common in 911 engine fans? I have spotted a few cracks at the root of the blade that look deeper than just coating.

LOL,..I cannot remember where that vacuum line goes (I mainly deal with race cars), but a little detective work should answer that very quickly.

Fan housing and blade cracks are NOT uncommon anymore. These are magnesium parts now showing signs of age; stress and corrosion. Zyglow testing is what we use to confirm the presence of cracks.
