Winter storage

I asked this question over on the Rennlist forum, but didn't get the answer I wanted.
Would it be OK to store my car for a couple of month with no oil in the engine. I want to do a HOT oil drain before I put it away in the heated garage and will not be able to do the winter maintenance I have planned until 2 month later, which would include taking off the valve covers.
