Looking at a 964 roller with 211,000mi on it for a backdate project. Its in seemingly great condition, just lacking a motor and tranny. What do you think its worth? Is getting a roller and adding the motor and tranny of my choice a cost effective option over getting a well running car?

Also, i'm looking to build a very capable street car....just a fun weekend driver. What motor would you use? A modified 964, Variocam from a 993 or S...any thoughts, help with direction would be appreciated.

Thanks Steve. Glad to be a part of this forum. Any idea what a good varioram motor and tranny would go for? Are there major differneces between base and S engines?
