Flat Towing a 911

Postby Charles Freeborn » Thu Jan 02, 2014 11:18 am

Yes, no, never? My current car can't pull a trailer with car on it, but could handle the 911 on it's own 4 feet. Tow bar ideas and connection points ? Obvious seems to fab brackets from the front T-Bar anchors...
Should I unbolt the CV's @ the hubs so as to not spin the trans while towing longer distances? (Portland to ORP and back).
Thanks!

I guess my thinking is two fold - one -even a "short" (2.5 hr) drive to ORP is none too comfortable in the old girl - plus if it breaks - plus I can't haul much extra gear such as track wheels & tires and so on... Maybe a little trailer.... just pondering here...
Trips to CA definitely want to happen on a flatbed or trailer. I'll just have to work that one out when the time comes...
