more power for 3.2 engine, for racing

Steve, i race a 1984 carerra 3.2 in a classic car race in Malaysia and need more power without increasing my cubic capacity as i race in a class which is a 2.7cc per ton ..being 3.2 cc i need to have a weight of 1.2 tons ... this means that my power to weight ratio sucks... i need advise as to what i can do .
