CV joint boots

Postby ROWSC » Tue Apr 30, 2013 10:37 pm

The new CV joint boots I installed when repacking the CV joints did not include the metal end clamps like what came with the boots I replaced on my Civic. I have noticed that grease is being thrown from where the boots meet the axle shaft. The grease loss is not significant, but is less than satisfying given all the powdercoating that I invested in all the undercarriage pieces. Were there supposed to be clamps that came with the boots? Are there clamps that I can install without removing the boots?

Thanks Steve! Are there special zip ties I need to ask for or will the standard ones available at NAPA do the trick?
