Winter storage with PMO carbs

Postby ROWSC » Tue Jan 29, 2013 11:33 pm

With my daughter driving now, I've been told I need to be prepared to drive my car on occasion. I keep the tank full of treated the gas. Is it better to let the car sit for a couple of weeks with the fuel bowls full or turn off the fuel pump and let the car idle until the bowls empty and the car dies. I've heard it both ways.

So you are saying it is okay to leave the gas in the carbs?

No problem at all IF the fuel contains a healthy dose of Stabil.

Would all of the fuel in the float chambers evaporate out of the filters after a while?
