3.2 short stroke porting.

Postby avorkinn » Sun Sep 29, 2019 11:26 pm

Hi,

I am on my way to build a short stroke 3.2 engine, the donor engine is a 930/10 engine with big ported heads, 39/35.

I will have twin plug, compression 10,5:1 (Mahle sylinders and JE pistons), modified cams. Turbo oil pump and jets. Data management, both fuel and ignition.

My first question, should I do additional porting of the heads and if, what size?

Thanks for your reply Steve,

The power goal is 280, close to standard HW and with that, RPM up to 7000. Jenvey Throttles and DTAFast S80Pro ECU.

Except oil pump upgrade the sylinder bolts are replaced with 993 type. Any further HW upgrade advise?

For now the transmission will be standard 915 box.

1973 LookAlike, used as a funny roadcar and some trackdays, weight 980kg.

Any advise will be great, cams, HW upgrade, +++
