What to do with a '68 911T Engine

Hello Steve,
I have a '66 911, with a 2.0 911T Engine 2180031. I should have found a '66 2.0 liter engine 20 years ago, but I did not, and I do not have $30k for a core '66 Engine with Solex's. So I want to know what is possible with the 2.0 L T I have now.
For the engine I have, 2180031 901/03 2.0L T: I understand the case is an Aluminum case? Does it have the steel sleeved cylinders like all the other T's?
I would like to get to get a little more performance than the original '66 2.0L with a higher rev limit that the counterbalanced crank gives. I would like to have the higher rev limit, since I have the original green faced gauges, and would want the feeling of the original engine. I am not going to race, I am just looking for streetability with some performance.
Is it possible to put the Counterbalanced Crank into this Engine Case? With that as a starting point, (if possible), what would I be able to keep from the T Engine? Rods? Heads? Pistons & Cylinders? I would really be interested if You could do this engine, and what the cost may be. (we can discuss cost later).... Do you have any extra 66mm Counterbalanced Cranks lying around?
The T engine has not run in 20 years, but it did run when I took it out. It's been stored in a dry garage the whole time. What would be the concerns of trying to just start this baby up, after all of these years?
Thanks, DBW
