My 1985 911 seems to run rich and misfire when warm............I can drive her for hours without a problem but once I shut her down and restart, she runs rough and misfires until cool again....any thoughts?

Hi,

Several possibilities about your problem. You didn't mention anything about how many miles are on the car, nor anything about when it was last tuned. Without that info, everything is a WAG. :)

I would check:

1) Head temp sensor & wiring

2) O2 sensor & wiring

3) Intake manifold ground wires (brown)

4) Fuel pressure at rail

5) Check for cracked distributor cap

This should keep you busy. :)

Hi Steve,

The vehicle has 116k and has been maintained throughout.
Fuel pressure is fine
Cap, Plugs, and wires were replaced
I will check the other items you mentioned..............Thank you!
