E.R.P. RACING SUSPENSION SYSTEMS

For the serious racer who needs the best suspension that money can buy, Rennsport Systems offers the 935-inspired racing suspension components from ERP. These ultra-high quality components for 911/930, C2/C4, 993-series cars and the Boxster, represent the pinnacle of handling potential for these Porsches. All suspension motion moves on Heim joints or Monoballs. Without plastic bushings there is a large reduction in suspension friction which allows much greater car control and driver feedback on a bumpy track.

ERP suspension systems use coil springs instead of torsion bars for less weight and allows fine tuning of wheel rates, corner weight, ride height, and alignment. We recommend a roll cage that ties all of the suspension pick-up points together to maximize the benefit for ERP suspension components. Some of these parts can be installed as individual upgrades or installed as a complete system for maximum gains.

Please call for an individual consultation, application details and pricing.

ERP 935-Style Complete Front Suspension

1-sgd.jpg (35684 bytes) This suspension system is constructed from 4130 Chrome-moly tubing, and nickel plated for durability and appearance. This allow full adjustability and requires coil-over shocks such as RSR struts. This a major weight saving due to lighter components and the loss of torsion bars. Two versions are offered, one uses the stock ball joint and the other version uses a racing ball joint that allows the spindle to be raised higher than the RSR position of 19mm.

Bump Steer Tie-rod kit

1-sgc.jpg (31475 bytes)  These screw-on rod ends replace the factory tie-rod ends to facilitate spacing the tie-rod end up or down for fine adjustment of bump steer. This is extremely important in achieving a really good-handling car. Bump steer is time-consuming to measure and correct, the payoff is immense in making the car less tiring to drive and much more predictable. This kits comes with spherical tie-rod ends and spacers.

935-style Rear Spring Plates

1-sge.jpg (36891 bytes)

These items replace the factory spring plates when converting from torsion bar suspension to coil-overs. These are alloy steel, nickel plated pieces that have spherical rod-ends instead of plastic bushings at the pivot to eliminate friction from the suspension. Toe adjustment is provided by the threaded rod-end. The elimination of friction makes setting the corner weights more precise due to lack of friction that is present in all plastic bushings.

C2/C4 Rear Spring Plates

C2Sprngplates-1.jpg (19214 bytes)  These components replace the factory spring plates and exchange the rubber bushings at the pivots with solid monoballs for zero deflection. Additionally, they allow more precise alignment adjustment of toe settings.

911-930 Camber Plates

911Cmbrplates-1.jpg (19385 bytes)

These items replace the stock rubber upper strut bushings with Monoballs that eliminate camber change due to upper strut deflection. These also allow smoother steering input by the friction reduction in the Monoballs.

C2/C4 & 993 Camber Plates

993Cmbrplates-1.jpg (31321 bytes)

These plates replace the rubber-bushed upper strut and shock mounts with Monoballs. The front plates feature addtional camber adjustment. These are not recommended for street use due to the decrease in ride quality.

  Rear Trailing Arm Mono-balls

1-sgg.jpg (33687 bytes)     This is a cartridge that is installed at the inner(body) end of the trailing arms, also called the bananas. This eliminates the rubber bushing normally found here to reduce un-wanted toe changes caused by the flex in the factory bushing. This makes the car more predictable under throttle and brake transitions. There is a corresponding reduction in friction as well.

Front A-arm Mono-ball Cartridge

For C2/C4 and 993: These parts replace the rubber bushings found at the A-arm pivots. This eliminates suspension friction and maintains toe-settings under hard braking and acceleration.

Rear Mono-ball Cartridges

For C2/C4 and 993: These parts replace the rubber bushings in the trailing arms of the C2/C4 series and the A-arms in the 993 series. The C2/C4 (964)series also require a mounting kit for initial installation. The eliminates suspension friction and toe changes under braking and acceleration forces. This is most noticeable under transitions in corner entry and exit.

993 Rear Suspension Monoball Bearing Replacements

1-sgh.jpg (27461 bytes) These rear monoballs replace the rubber bushings in the rear control arms to remove all rear suspension deflection under cornering loads and power applications. This makes the car easier to control and helps put the power to the ground more efficiently. On racing tires, the rear end of the car is much more predictable.

 Boxster Monoball Replacement Bearings

1-sgi.jpg (26816 bytes)  These bearings replace the rubber bushings for the same benefits as the 911/993-series cars. The car is much easier to drive, near and at the limit, due to zero-suspension deflection and makes the application of power more predictable. These bearings will transmit more road noise into the car.

Spring Hats for Bilstein RSR Shocks and Struts

  911RSR perchs-1.jpg (21526 bytes)

These aluminum upper spring perches are used when converting from torsion bars to coil-overs on the 911 1969-1989 series.

Please call us for application information and pricing for all ERP components. Rennsport Systems offers full technical support when installing and using these suspension parts.
